Key Responsibilities
As a Time Officer, you will handle daily employee attendance and shift management. Your main duties include:
Attendance & Timekeeping
- Record and monitor daily attendance for both staff and labor.
- Maintain up-to-date timekeeping data using biometric systems or manual timecards.
- Identify late arrivals, absences, or early departures and report to HR management.
- Prepare accurate attendance summaries for monthly payroll.
- Ensure all attendance reports are stored and backed up correctly.
Shift & Overtime Management
- Prepare and update daily and monthly shift rosters.
- Verify overtime hours with department supervisors and ensure proper approval.
- Maintain overtime sheets and forward them to payroll after validation.
- Help ensure fair and transparent distribution of shifts across departments.
Leave Management
- Record, track, and maintain leave applications (annual, sick, and casual).
- Update leave balances regularly and ensure compliance with the company leave policy.
- Assist the HR team in generating monthly absenteeism and leave reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors to manage leave schedules during peak production periods.
Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with HR, Accounts, and Security teams to ensure timekeeping accuracy.
- Generate attendance and overtime trend reports for management review.
- Assist during compliance or labor audits regarding attendance and working hours.
- Liaise with gate/Security staff to verify employee in/out records.
- Support the HR Manager in administrative tasks related to workforce management.
Skills and Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and HR/timekeeping software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee data.
- Knowledge of labor laws and factory work regulations.
- Problem-solving and time management abilities.
Education
- Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR, Commerce, or Administration).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in timekeeping or HR roles, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with biometric attendance systems or payroll coordination is an added advantage.
Work Environment
This role is based at Dura Flow’s Lahore factory, where you will work closely with the HR Manager and the production team. You will spend most of your time monitoring attendance systems, coordinating with supervisors, and maintaining daily reports.
