Eligibility Criteria

Gender and Marital Status

• Only unmarried male citizens of Pakistan are eligible to apply.

Nationality

• Applicants must hold Pakistani nationality.
• Candidates from Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are also eligible.

Height Requirement

• Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm).

Age Limit

• Civilians: 16½ to 21 years (as of July 01, 2026).
• Service Candidates (Armed Forces): 17 to 23 years.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must have passed Matric, F.Sc., O-Level, or A-Level with at least 60% marks in any of the following subject combinations:

• Physics, Maths, Chemistry

• Physics, Maths, Statistics

Students appearing in F.Sc. Part-II or A-Level final exams with 65% marks in Part-I can also apply, provided they submit a hope certificate from their institute.

Note:

• Baloch candidates will get 10% marks relaxation (minimum 50% required).
• O-Level and A-Level students must submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for PN Cadet 2026-A includes several stages designed to test both academic and physical abilities.

1. Online Registration

Apply at www.joinpaknavy.gov.pk between October 12 and November 02, 2025. Applications sent directly to Naval Headquarters will not be accepted.

2. Entrance Test

The entrance test includes an Intelligence Test followed by an Academic Test based on:

• General Knowledge

3. Result Notification

The test result will be announced individually after completion of the entrance process.

4. Preliminary Medical & Interview

Candidates who qualify for the entrance test will appear for medical and preliminary interviews at their nearest PNR&SC (Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Center).

5. ISSB Test & Final Medical

Shortlisted candidates will be called for ISSB tests and later undergo a final medical examination at the nearest CMH or Naval Hospital.

6. Final Selection

Final merit-based selection will be made at Naval Headquarters (NHQ).

Training and Career Path

Selected cadets will undergo two years of professional training at the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA), Karachi.
After successful completion, they will be granted Permanent Commission in one of the following branches:

• Operations Branch
• Weapon Engineering Branch
• Marine Engineering Branch
• Supply Branch
