Overview
This flexible position is based at the Club on Westover Air Reserve Base. Hours are not guaranteed and may range from 0 to 40 per week. While this role does not include benefits, employees can enjoy access to the base’s fitness center, lodging, and other facilities. Applicants should be ready to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook basic food items such as pancakes, eggs, hamburgers, and vegetables.
- Make hot cereals, broiled meats, soups, sauces, and gravies from concentrated or dehydrated products.
- Prepare convenience foods (e.g., frozen hash browns, fish fillets, chicken nuggets) and occasionally bake pizzas.
- Perform food prep tasks such as peeling, slicing, chopping, and mixing.
- Set up and maintain salad bars, portion meals for service, and properly store leftovers.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pass a background investigation and pre-employment physical.
- Obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate or complete food handler training.
- Be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safe food preparation techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Experience Needed
Previous experience in food preparation (grill, snack bar, restaurant, or similar environment) is required. Must be able to follow instructions, work safely, and handle basic arithmetic for measurements and portions.

- This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position supporting Air Force & Space Force Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities.
- U.S. Citizens and certain non-U.S. nationals who have lived in the U.S. or territories for the last three consecutive years are eligible.
