TechBasics101 is a Windows-focused technology publication founded by Arslan Ahmad. We help everyday Windows users solve real problems using tested, working solutions — not recycled advice copied from forums.
Every guide on this site follows the same process. We reproduce the actual problem on a real PC, test multiple potential fixes, and only publish the ones that consistently worked. If a “fix” sounds good in theory but doesn’t hold up in practice, it doesn’t make it onto TechBasics101.
Right now, our focus is squarely on Windows 11 — update issues, unsupported-hardware installations, performance problems, and the everyday troubleshooting that comes with running the latest version of Windows. As Windows itself evolves, so will our coverage.
Our focus areas:
- Windows update and performance issues
- Installing and running Windows on unsupported or older hardware
- Practical PC upgrades and buying guidance
- Everyday troubleshooting explained without unnecessary jargon
About the founder
Arslan Ahmad is the founder and lead writer at TechBasics101. Over the past three years, he has tested and documented hundreds of Windows-related issues — from update failures and driver conflicts to unsupported-hardware installations — using real devices rather than theoretical fixes. He brings a background in SEO and content strategy to how TechBasics101 is built and presented.
Arslan believes most tech advice online is either outdated, overly technical, or written by someone who never actually tried the fix. TechBasics101 exists to be the opposite: clear, current, and grounded in what actually happens when you try it yourself.
